Is there an age limit for prospective adoptive parents?

In the case of a couple wishing to adopt an infant or a child below 3 years of age, the composite age of the couple should not exceed 90 years (and each individual’s age should not be less than 25 or more than 50).

In the case of single prospective adoptive parents, the individual cannot be less than 30 years of age or over 45 years for infant adoptions.

However, in the case of older children or children with special needs, the agency has the right to relax the mentioned composite age limit to 105 years for couples (limited to a maximum age of 55 years) and 50 years for individuals.

In addition, the age gap between child and parent should not be less than 21 years.
